County Agricultural Incentives Program (CAIP) Administrators Interactive Map
The County Agricultural Incentives Program (CAIP) offers cost-share incentives for Kentucky agricultural producers to implement practices that increase farm income and to try new or innovative technologies or systems that improve efficiency and productivity. There are 11 CAIP incentive areas that producers can explore to determine the best fit for on-farm projects that most benefit individual operations. Each county in Kentucky administers its own program, and - especially for new growers - it can be difficult to determine who to contact about applying for programs. An interactive map has been created and posted online to help growers find their local county program administrator. To use the map, click on the county of interest, and a pop-up will display the administrator’s contact details. Follow up directly with the local administrator about program offerings, application deadlines, and other program details. The map also includes contact information for administrators of the Youth Agricultural Incentives Program (YAIP).
CAIP and YAIP Funding
CAIP and YAIP are financed by funds directed to Kentucky as part of the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement. Annual disbursements to individual counties are based on the historic federal tobacco quota system, also known as the “tobacco base” of farms.
