The University of Kentucky, the KY Horticulture Council, and the KY Christmas Tree Association are excited to announce a Christmas Tree Planting Workshop!

Whether you’re new to growing Christmas trees or a seasoned grower who wants to come learn something new, come join us to learn about the importance of proper planting techniques, learn differences between plugs and bare roots, and to see different methods of planting Christmas trees in live action. This workshop will be a great opportunity to see a mechanical planter, hand-planting methods, and networking with your fellow KY growers. This workshop is being held at Traditions Farm in Shelbyville, KY, on Saturday, February 28 from 10a - 1p (Eastern Time). Please note that in case of inclement weather on February 28, there is a make-up date of March 14.

Registration is FREE at https://kentuckyhorticulturecouncil.ticketspice.com/2026-christmas-tree-planting-workshop. Make sure to pre-register for your chance to win plugs and/or seedlings to take home!
