2026 Kentucky Fruit & Vegetable Conference Recap
This week, the Center for Crop Diversification team attended the 2026 Kentucky Fruit & Vegetable Conference in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This annual conference serves as the premier educational program for fruit, vegetable, and cut flower growers in Kentucky. With over a dozen educational tracks and more than 75 expert speakers, conference attendees had lots of great educational sessions to choose from.
The Center for Crop Diversification had an educational table in the registration area, where new publications and resource cards could be picked up. Two honorable mention publications are:
- 2023-2025 Farmers Market Price Averages
- 2023-2025 Produce Auction Price & Quantity Averages
These publications are hot off the press! The 3 year average reports are designed to help growers think about pricing, harvest timing, and potential crops to consider, but do not serve as a one-size-fits-all price guide. Digital copies can be found here: https://ccd.uky.edu/pricereports/averages.
The team also presented in a slew of sessions this year!
- AI: Futurists v. Curmudgeon: Brett Wolff & Kati Bowman (KCARD)
- Tools & Techniques for Doing Market Research: Brett Wolff & Kati Bowman (KCARD)
- Farmers Market Price Trends: Brett Wolff & Gabriel Cassone
- Approaches to Marketing Your Cut Flowers: Savannah Columbia & Alexis Sheffield
