Get ready for the 2026 Eastern Kentucky Farmer Conference!

Members of the Center for Crop Diversification (CCD) team, Savannah Columbia, Alexis Sheffield, and Emily Spencer, will be presenting two sessions on the  second day of the conference (February 28):

  1. Direct Marketing 101, 10:45 AM - 12:00 PM

In Direct Marketing 101, the Center for Crop Diversification team will discuss the pros and cons of direct-to-consumer marketing channels, how to engage customers in these channels, and how to identify if a direct market channel is ideal for you. This session is for both beginning growers and those who wish to expand their direct-to-consumer marketing channels.

  1. Hitting the Mother’s Day Market, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Mother’s Day is one of the biggest flower holidays of the year, and with careful planning, it can be one of the most profitable for KY flower farmers. The Center for Crop Diversification team will discuss cut flower production, marketing, and economic tactics to help you succeed in MDay sales and learn techniques that you can carry into other sales targets throughout the year.
