The Vegetable Production Guide for Commercial Growers (ID-36) has been updated and is now available as a PDF file at https://publications.mgcafe.uky.edu/id-36. The printed version will be available later this winter. Growers should check with their County Agents regarding receiving a printed copy. This guide has been produced for many years by Extension professionals in the Departments of Entomology, Horticulture, and Plant Pathology and provides guidance on production, marketing, and pest and disease management options that will help commercial growers be successful. Growers are encouraged to carefully review their options and make the best decision for their operations.

The general format of the guide is similar to previous editions, but there has been some reformatting of tables to make them more useful and some revisions to suggested varieties based on the latest information available. Growers are also encouraged to review the information in the Appendices, where they will find information about production and marketing, nutrients, conversion tables, generic fungicides and insecticides, organic manures and fertilizers, and planting dates, seed treatments, sprayer calibration, and relative insecticide efficacy. Please note the pesticide emergency telephone numbers on the back cover and add them to your phone contacts.

Growers are encouraged to review all the Extension resources that are available from the Departments of Horticulture, Entomology, and Plant Pathology.
